ARTIST STATEMENT
Organic & natural forms have been the inspiration of my work for many
years. I started my arts career with theatrical
costume design and portraiture and later moved away into patterns & rhythms
of nature. My paintings explore
the relationship between color, light & form while underneath these painterly
manifestations lies the world
of the magical & the mystical. My work as an artist is to connect these
external & internal worlds. I always work
in series & when a series comes to its own conclusion, I move on to the
next, already imminent in my thoughts.
My current series, "Dream Fragments" is an adventure of the imagination.
Light presences filter through the
lens of nature and give a glimpse into another world.
And so I invite you to look at what the muse has brought me, and how I have
interpreted these visions into
paint, collage & canvas.
