Murphy has exhibited her works throughout the East Coast and her works are currently on display at the Ezair Gallery on Madison Avenue, New York and the Kenneth Raymond Gallery in Boca Raton, Fla. Her works have been compared to Chagall and Modigliani.
Murphy´s figurative paintings surrounded by bold, beautiful colors are a celebration of life. Through her spiritual journey. Murphy seeks to explore the struggle between human desires and spiritual evolution. Wanda Murphy obtained her formal art education at Concord College in West Virginia.
In the summer of 1996, she became the apprentice to world renowned linear expressionist Jean Claude Gaugy. Salvador Dali arranged a one-man show for Gaugy at the Galerie de Seine in Paris at a young age. Gaugy was also the apprentice to sculptor Henry Moore, while in England. Murphy worked with Gaugy during the creation of ³The Awakening². ³the Awakening is an 8000 sq. ft. monumental work of art that is of an universal spiritual theme. ³The Awakening Sanctuary² will be located in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The years spent working with Gaugy, began Murphyıs spiritual journey towards enlightenment and inner peace. Through her paintings, she brings to the world white for cleansing and purity, black for endurance, purple for the sacred spirit of healing, yellow for warmth and love, red for strength, green for peace, blue for harmony. Concentrating on love, joy, and healing, her style of painting has evolved. She brings this universal message to all: You are loved.
